The test will be conducted at your child’s educational facility.
-
A hearing screening is not a full diagnostic audiological assessment. We will not be able to diagnose a hearing loss or middle ear disorder. A hearing screening will be able to determine if your child has adequate hearing for learning and if any further medical or diagnostic assessment is required.
-
The screenings will happen on a day your child’s school chooses. If this is not a day your child normally attends, you will have to speak to your child’s centre regarding attendance for the screenings only. Alternatively, your child’s centre may choose to book another day if there is significant interest.
-
If your child’s school is not available in the drop down menu on the registration form, they may not be providing the service or there may be an issue with the form. Please contact us on info@superhearoschoolscreening.com.au in this instance.
-
You can discuss this with your child’s centre, as they may not be aware of this service or contact us for more information on info@superhearoschoolscreening.com.au.
-
If your child does not pass any part of the screening we will refer you to either a GP or diagnostic audiologist for further assessment. There will be more detailed information in your child’s report.
